It’s by far the safest mode of transport, 1 in 16 million chance of crashing based on 2017 aviation stats. Last year was also the safest year in aviation history.

Doesn’t stop me from hating flying with a passion though.

TBH there really needs to be a division between large scale aviation (scheduled services etc) which is very safe, and small scale things like this which is less safe.

Sounds absolutely grim.

But without being awful, from a footballing persepective, what does this mean for Cardiff? Would they be insured, or have they just gravied £15m?

100% insured. There is no way a player signs a contract without medical insurance being agreed beforehand.

It is possible they landed in a field. I certainly remember being in a light aircraft that landed on a French farm. Let's hope so. Even if it's unlikely with comms these days they wouldn't contact air control etc or use a mobile.

Likely the weather as it's not smart to fly into a storm with a single engine plane.

So they've out evertoned us then? Too soon?
Think to out Everton us he'd have had to survive the crash only to be picked up by a dinghy full of migrants, almost make it to shore only to be picked off by @Joey66 with his sniper rifle as he sets foot on the beach.

That would be Everton that.

Hoping for a positive outcome but all the signs are not looking good.

I would guess that's probably commercial flights? This looks like some private-mini plane

Unlikely to find a field in the middle of the sea like.
