Surely the necessary steps had not been completed, so it is not a transfer? If I tell some I have bought some cornflakes as I take the last box to the checkout, but then someone bumps into me and they go everywhere I don’t expect to have to pay for them!I've said all along there will be more than one side to this and it will take some amount unraveling and legal arguments to sort out, with the sums involved, despite it being an emotionally charged case Cardiff will not be legally obliged to pay anything until all legal lines for them have been exhausted, only then will they get hammered if indeed it is adjudged they are duty bound to pay.
It is such a shame that a the death of a young footballer has brought out the worst in football transfer legalities, you can bet that clubs have now put certain procedures in place to ensure this type of thing never happens to them.
I might even take a photo on my phone and post a tribute to my “beloved flakes of corn” on Facebook.Surely the necessary steps had not been completed, so it is not a transfer? If I tell some I have bought some cornflakes as I take the last box to the checkout, but then someone bumps into me and they go everywhere I don’t expect to have to pay for them!

So it’s either - you had swiped to pay for the cornflakes, but then the cashier’s pal dropped the cornflakes, and at that exact moment the debit card machine went on the blink?Think it had gone further than that, it's like you have bought the cornflakes on tick but then the finance company have picked up an error in the paperwork. Not really the shops fault and you had possession.
However I think as there is a 3rd party involved with this it can't all be Cardiff's liability. I always championed that Cardiff should pay 5 million to Nantes, so should the agent and then everyone has taken a 5 million hit. That said if Sala had boarded the same aircraft to go chat with Cardiff about signing with them and it went down, I bet Cardiff wouldn't be putting money towards it (even if there was a pre-signed deal in place and they were just finalising).
Only the nature of the transaction of goods or services. We comparing the life and subsequent death of a footballer to a dropped box of cornies here lads
Yikes
RATSThat is just so bad from Cardiff, anything to save money when they actually paraded sala etc
