Emiliano Sala

Hopefully for the sake of the family (unless by some miracle one survived and ended up washing ashore somewhere and has just got temporary loss) both are inside the plane so they can get full closure. It may stand to reason the pilot was strapped in and with the larger front windows it is clear to see. Sala could have found himself on the floor after or during the accident.
Wouldn't Sala have been strapped in? Especially given that he was bricking himself.

His poor family must be going through hell right now.

At least one of the bodies has been found, but the other one might have been washed away.

I think it’s odds on that both are still in the wreckage.

Why it’s taking so long to recover the bodies is anyone’s guess. Can you imagine if they got washed away now. How devastating would that be to the families.

On another matter, I think there are probably people out there that are a tad nervous at the aircraft being found - we will find out what went wrong and why soon enough!

Could have been. But if you look at interior shots of that type of airplane you can see how much harder it would be to spot someone in the back. I suppose he could have also tried to escape after it crashed so he might not have been strapped in at the time. Where as if the plane went nose first it could have killed the pilot almost instantly on impact. It's all guesses on my behalf though as the front off the plane maybe gone and they can see Sala.

Worked on ships all my life and now in shipping, its not as easy as just sending an ROV down. I think their main concern will be not to lose the bodies. Heaven forbid they somehow get inside and the body or bodies go drifting away with the tide. 2 or 3 knots of tide and they'll be away in no time.
I read they're also thinking about recovering the plane itself. If the plane breaks up during recovery again the body or bodies could be lost.

I would imagine they'll send divers down, I think I read its 60 mtrs deep, there will be risk assessments to ensure the divers are safe to go inside the plane if need be.
As it happens I've just done a risk assessment here where I am for shallow water, its taken 3 days all told to get approval from the powers that be.

"The football agent Willie McKay arranged for the flight to take Emiliano Sala from Nantes to Cardiff but claims he had no involvement in selecting the plane or pilot"
Would appear the pilot offered the trip as a freebie and Sala accepted.

I think Willie McKay arranged the flight through a bloke called David Harrison, who I believe owns the plane (or at least operates it normally).

For whatever reason he couldn't work the flight so hired the pilot, who I believe had previously worked for him.

French club Nantes have demanded payment from Cardiff City over the £15m transfer of Emiliano Sala, BBC Wales has learned.
Sala, along with pilot David Ibbotson, was on board the Piper Malibu N264DB which lost radar contact near Guernsey on 21 January.
The Argentine striker was Premier League club Cardiff's record signing.
Cardiff have withheld the first scheduled payment until they are satisfied with the documentation.
It is understood Nantes are threatening legal action if they do not receive a payment within 10 days. BBC have attempted to speak to Nantes for a comment.
A source at Cardiff says they will honour the contract, but not until they have clarified "all the facts."
And Cardiff are "surprised" Nantes have made the demand while attempts are being made to recover a body from the plane wreck that was carrying Sala and pilot Ibbotson.

The body was seen in the Piper Malibu N264DB on Monday, two weeks after the plane vanished near Guernsey.
BBC Wales has learned the transfer fee is due to be paid in instalments over three years.
French club Bourdeaux are also entitled to a cut of the fee, thought to be 50 per cent after Sala was on their books from 2012-2015 before joining Nantes.
The plane carrying Sala, 28, and Ibbotson, from Crowle, Lincolnshire, disappeared on route to Cardiff on 21 January after the footballer returned to Nantes to say goodbye to his former teammates.

And in the end, its all about money.

If they can organise a kitty for scudamore, the least the FA of England and France can do is collect the money from their premiership clubs. This was a tragic accident and the cost burden shouldn't fall on one club.
