Tech bros made money within the establishment by being seen as "renegades" against it. They embedded themselves within the economy.
Establishment started to regulate, wants them to pay more taxes, give them less freedom to what they had before.
Tech bros now don't want that.
Tech bros decide to de-stable and change the establishment so they don't have to answer to what society or governments push on to them again.
Trump said they can suckle on his teet if they win him another election and he'll give them what they want.
They're all spoilt children who never liked being talked down to. They've now found an opportunity to get their own way again.
Honestly think it'll have a knock on effect in Europe and around the world and I hope governments don't bend over to them.

Free speech has limits, like you said. You can't yell "FIRE" in theater. You can't yell "BOMB" in an airplane. It's pretty fn simple that you shouldn't be able to try to normalize rhetoric that killed TENS OF FN MILLIONS!

You can do engagement with screenshots. You don't need to actually link anything. THAT'S what irks me. If someone wants to use Twitter itself? Sure. But don't allow the actual links here. Or figure out a way to have the link not be redirected.

It was suprising to me that the neo nazi rally was allowed to be honest. It was an irate German showing me the clip.
They still teach a 'lets not do that again' program in schools there! It was suprising. Possible it was some dodgy local Mayor or something permitting it. I never followed up on it tbh
