This is the one criticism of Musk I do have a bit of a problem with - the far right has always been on Twitter, and Twitter usually did very little about them. If anything Musk running it in the way he has has made the case against it (and social media generally) far more effectively than anything else has; people are doing something about it now and hopefully the necessary legal changes can come in.

This is why the legal reform needs to be to show social media firms as the publishers they are, and to remove an exemption that was never intended for them.

There is no free speech argument against it.

Ironically there were a few major industrialists that came together at a certain infamous mans behest in 1930's Germany. But I'm being pedantic on a Saturday evening. Many apologies.
