Stalinism was the the big existential threat of the day of course, that was a major influence. He was opposed to totalitarianism both far left and far right and was a known anti-Stalinist.

I'll try find it mate, was a whilst ago but I remember sending it to a couple of adult students at the time so should be somewhere in the history.

Let us be honest, comrade, the fact that you are following me around, checking what I have posted, how many times and the like... well, it looks a bit obsessive.
I am, however, in Europe, where the people you have aligned yourself with have caused a major war and are indiscriminately raping and murdering their way across a sovereign country, all while interfering in democracies across the West with the aim of toppling democratic systems and installing autocratic rule. So of course I have an interest as do many, as much as that seems irk you.

Orwell was a communist. The point he is making is that the revolution was derailed by a counter revolution. That's Orwell's belief (very aligned to socialist Trotskys views).

As for the rest of the utter claptrap you post, cba checking how often you criticized the USA or UK for toppling democratically elected systems, I'm guessing zero btw, you post nothing but ISW or from 'Ukrainian sources' material, occasionally throw in stuff kike the Atlantic council, whilst at the same point you try to appear pro Palestine, all the sources you use are distinctly not btw, so your either a hypercrite, an idiot or something darker.

Orwell was a socialist mate, most definitely his books were influenced by the Trotsky a revolution betrayed but nah he wasn't communist in the sense we think about it today.
