Talks a big game but rarely follows through on it

He’s like me, but with a few quid
He's done the same as what he has done with crypto coins. Buys stock/shares, talks it big, prices spike and he sells up with huge profits of 100's millions. Price drops and he buys again.. Twitter shares went up almost 60-70% when the rumours of him buying first started..

Not gonna lie mate, my Tesla makes my balls tingle. So there!
Fair enough - each to their own. I had a weekend loan of a Model Y before ordering a Q4. I found it to be a generally infuriating car. The acceleration, range and sentry system were the only truly impressive things about it. Beyond that it’s felt dumpy and lifeless on the road and less premium than the other EVs in a similar price bracket.

Tesla fans seem to think removing buttons, instrument clusters and even wiper stalks is some kind of futurism but it’s not. It is done to save money. It’s daft, distracting and dangerous.

Fair enough mate, mines a company car and I’m very happy with it for what it is (model 3 long range). Probably would have went for Q4 myself but didn’t wanna wait 12 months for it. I have everything set to auto so don’t really worry about wipers, lights etc and it’s a comfy little car on the motorway and as you say the performance is great if you wanna throw it about a bit. I’m not sure about range on the Q4 e-tron but a few lads have the larger E-tron and they are getting 180 tops to a charge which is very annoying.

Ah yes because the right has remained completely the same the entire time

Elon is a right wing meme lord who wanted to buy Twitter for 50% more than its value just to fight the left.

He’s also a petulant man child that uses his money to crush anyone who gets in his way, mostly anyone who dares unionise.

I’m very sceptical Space X isn’t just an excuse for international spying. And Tesla is barely an excuse for being environmentally friendly or carbon neutral. I’m happy for you if you enjoy your car though. I don’t particularly like the man behind the company.

I've had a model 3 now for a month. Its not perfect in terms of technology, but I'm delighted with it as a car. I dont drive fast as a rule, but there are no laws about accelerating! Getting past the lycra brigade has become a breeze and has the added effect of scaring them shirtless as they often don't hear you coming (or don't care you're there).

I sent a few suggestions for improvements to Elon, fully expecting him to say - yeah good idea and become a mate, share a beer or two and then I talk him into following football, buying Sky, scrapping Sky, then buying Everton.

So far my plan hasn't got past the initial response from him, but its only been a month like.

I’ve just found out they’ve now added Disney plus as well for when I’m sat charging it, top stuff lol the acceleration is amazing, certainly won’t be beaten from a standing start by 95% of cars.

I too have been in touch with Mr. Musk to suggest buying the blues, said he got knocked back coz he didn’t know who Barry Horne was.

Yeah it’s a pisser that I have to wait so long to get it but it made such an impression on me that I think it’s worth the wait. It’s rated for over 300 miles per charge and it would be extremely rare for me ever to do over 200 in a day, living in Ireland And working from home.

Range anxiety for most people is kind of irrational when they sit down and work out their daily miles.

I thought the same about range anxiety- I'm not easily made anxious. However you need to brace yourself that a claimed range of 300 miles will only be something like 260 miles in reality, 240 miles if its a fast motorway, 200 if its a fast motorway, or hilly and it's winter, 180 miles if there's a headwind too and 170 miles if you put the heating on, 160 if its raining or dark ....

Its the nit getting anything near what's claimed that bugs me ... not the anxiety of whether ill get where I want- thats easy with careful planning.

They were talking very fondly of the latest Tesla on Woman's Hour this week.

I do about 80 miles a day and even though the long range is rated to 350 miles I get absolutely nowhere near that commuting from Liverpool to Manchester each day, from a full charge I’d say about 250 is about right, probably less if it’s a cold day/week.

Now I'm confused.

Taste in women = retro analogue
Car choice = futurist digital.

Honestly expected you to drive a diesel Volvo 960 estate that you service and maintain yourself, with the distinct possibility you've rigged it to run on used cooking oil.

Funny the impression you form of posters ?. You're probably more tech savvy than I.
