Aye. It's a really scary proposition in an already treacherous world.

I've just signed up to Bluesky. Initial impression are that it's a bit barren, yet feels very similar to Twitter. It seems to be more focused on customisation and personal preferences, which gives the impression that it's moderated more strictly than Twitter. I'm rarely encouraged or even excited by social media, but for me Bluesky is by far the most likely to dethrone Twitter, which is something which needs to happen as quickly as possible.

X suspends account of Navalny's widow​

X has suspended the account of Alexei Navalny's widow.
It is unclear why the social network, formerly Twitter, has suspended Yulia Navalnaya's account.
Earlier today on her X account, Ms Navalnaya urged the Kremlin to "give back Alexei's body and let him be buried with dignity".
She also said she "did not care how the killer's press secretary comments on my words".
Last night she accused Vladimir Putin of killing her husband and said evidence would be provided shortly.
The Kremlin has denied involvement and said claims that the Russian leader was responsible were unacceptable.
