Yip, he’s a Saffa from Pretoria. And I have it on good authority that he went to a staunch Afrikaans high school. He wasn’t born in the US so can’t run for President
The Fed is to blame, nothing to do with Elon
If the fundamentals are so solid why did Musk sell $3 billion worth at their 2 year lows?64% YTD decline in their market cap.
Not sure he had a lot of choice in the matter. Banks will only lend so much of a percentage of share price using shares as collateral, and any sane underwriter would have been very skittish looking at Tesla's P/E and trajectory in November, much less now.If the fundamentals are so solid why did Musk sell $3 billion worth at their 2 year lows?
Banks getting a tad nervous is also presumably why he is trying to get more people to invest in Twitter. Not sure he had a lot of choice in the matter. He has funding needs in excess of cash flow somewhere. Twitter seems the most likely candidate. A quick glance at news stories suggests that the underwriters of the shotgun marriage are all declining lowball $0.60 on the dollar offers on the debt.Banks getting a tad nervous is also presumably why he is trying to get more people to invest in Twitter.
Aye, as you mention above, he clearly needs cash with Twitter and/or SpaceX being likely culprits, and his purchase of Twitter has eaten into his credit. It's almost as though he decided to buy the modern equivalent of his own television network so he can push his own propaganda unfettered, somehow not realizing that the whole thing works a lot better when other voices push the narrative.
It's not clear to me how he could look at the data series and decide to adopt Trump's methods, rather than stick with what worked so well for so long.

His massive ridiculous ego will be his undoing in the end... Watch this space.Aye, as you mention above, he clearly needs cash with Twitter and/or SpaceX being likely culprits, and his purchase of Twitter has eaten into his credit.
He's said a few times that he's not cash rich, so with him alienating more and more advertisers and users from Twitter it's likely haemorrhaging cash.
He could be robbing Peter to pay Paul as Tesla is the platform more likely to fund his ventures - selling Tesla, worse when it's losing value, appears naive.
But, I suspect he's being forced into it by how it's panning out. As I said earlier hough, the more he acts like a bellend, the more Twitter could become a cash drain.
It's all well and good having a platform to spout nonsense, but you need people to use it to listen. Twitter is still popular, but is the platform sustainable?
