If he made the filings, he's kosher, but there's an argument to be made that he treated Tesla as a legal pump-and-dump. There's a reason no mature business would put up with sharing its CEO with another large company, much less two. There's just too much to do.

Hard to see the situation getting better. He bit off more than he can chew, he can't see it and he's created a culture around him where no one can tell him.
Not only the CEO. Haven't lots of Tesla executives and senior managers been asked to chip in at Twitter as well?

Which is the crux of the problem here. Buying Twitter appeared to many as a rather risky business venture in the sense of outlay vs. potential profits.

It was bought on a whim or to fulfil his strange desire to be some form of celebrity oracle - to be able to spout his nonsense.

If people around him aren't able to speak up, his growing megalomaniac tendency will be his downfall. Tesla has funded his Space X, Boring and Twitter ventures.

The success of the rest are based on the success of Tesla, and a company losing close to 63% of its value over in the past year isn't a healthy situation.

Many will say that Tesla is reaching its more realistic market valuation, however how much of that is based on its potential or how Musk is directing it.

Twitter is heading in the same direction because he's making it his play thing.

Musk is going to be around like a bad smell for years isn’t he. His God complex has taken a battering so he’s going to be lashing out in increasingly weird ways.
He will be, however whether his considerable social standing and influence remain is another question. The current downward trajectory is becoming a spiral.

I'd be considerably surprised if Twitter is going to be worth anywhere near the $44bn he's meant to have paid for it, let alone bring him in decent revenue.

Tesla's price has declined over recent months alongside selling off more shares, subsequently diluting his value and likely undermining more of his influence.

With a new CEO, his standing would take a battering. People are seeing him for what he is, and once the charm and mystique is gone his importance will do so too.

Agreed but he’s hardly going to become destitute. Can see him trying for a presidential run in the future to try and remain relevant.

Really can get my head around one of the worlds richest people and head of 4 multibillion $ companies with likely 100’s of thousands of employees micromanaging twitter to the point of banning individuals that offend him. It’s completely bonkers.

He’s a utter megalomaniac (as is every billionaire, if we’re honest) and he thinks he can do exactly what he wants, whenever he wants because he thinks he is better than everyone poorer than him
