Just watched the goal back a few times and noticed just how good that touch was to get in behind. The quick right foot-left foot. Class

Was the second touch that made it.

Was the weirdest thing in the world to see an Everton striker, beat a defender with a touch, create an angle and finish brilliantly - honestly couldn’t believe it’s been so long.

Hopefully thats the catalyst for him and the confidence boost. Even if he was just decent for the rest of the season that would be a huge boost to the team. Always the dream that the solution comes cheap, in-house, and they just develop into a good player but we know how hard it is to really do it consistently.

People were writing this kid off obviously is it’s a massive step up but he looks huge so will have the strength let’s just hope he can smash the goals on like he was doing at lower level and youth

Exactly. I've been defending him hard in this thread because the types of goal and finishing I've seen from him in Scotland and the Championship (OK OK, lower level) is different to anything else we have - DCL has a lot of good qualities but he doesn't score that type of goal often if ever. As Dyche himself says if he can just use his physical advantages more he certainly has the ability to get us the vital goals.
