..I think it’s understandable that folk have a view. Personally, I rarely comment because it should all be about who the manager wants to fit the team model. Let the manager bring in who he wants, then he’s accountable.

I hope we get this one over the line, he’s just what we need. Tall, brave, athletic and above all quick. Ok he’s not Beccanbaur or Bobby Moore, but, at the moment, we need a focal point in the back four, not somebody who will football it out and start attacks.

Williams and Jags are done. Keane off form since arriving. Holgate raw. Funes Mori just not good. All are making mistakes （except Mori cos he is injured） in turn this season too so a CB is pressing other than the obvious lb position.

...Williams, Jagielka, Holgate, Mori, Keane, Feeney, Pennington, Browning are CBs with first team experience who could all be on the books this summer. We can’t keep adding to those numbers without moving some out. The squad is a mess and needs some serious housekeeping.

Some proper Danny Murphy levels of analysis going on regarding Mangala. You get the sense that some people just go with popular opinion. That's why we've ended up with fans actually hating Cuco Martina, despite him just doing what he's been asked to do.

He is a better CB than we have at the club, and would still be a better LB than Martina. Have we all forgotten how bad we are defensively ?

Make do is a bit harsh.

To be fair it’s not like we’re signing Southampton’s third choice right back here. He’s one of the most expensive defenders in the world who has simply struggled to hold down a place in one of the best teams in the world.

Not just struggled with form, he was the opposition's secret weapon in City games.

Feeney is a kid. Pennington ans Browning will be sold. They are 23/24 above they won't make it here. Holgate and Keane will stay. Mori not sure about him. Jags will retire soon and Williams...sold in the summer perhaps.
