I can't imagine him coming in as a left back. I feel he is insurance for injury prone Keane as Jags and Williams are looking worn lately. Garbutt should be in the lineup now as cooler heads prevail. I just hope Seamus comes back with a bang.

The relegation mentality is the reason why teams get sucked into it, the fear of losing and worrying about the opposition won’t let you play to your best! Therefore players losing confidence and playing safe passes which get you nowhere.

Didn't Allardyce comment on how low confidence was when he came in.It obvously lifted after the first few decent results,but I imagine after Bouremouth and WBA games it's as low as it ever was.By Saturday evening...

Yep and a new face lifted it for a couple of weeks and now it’s been drained out of them again probably due to dire tactics and style of play. Back to my original point we aren’t in a relegation battle not even with the worst manager in our history. There’s too many teams between us.

I would rather have jags than this guy, going on what I have witnessed for City, if he can regain some of his form from Porto, he may well do ok, I don't think he'll be a good signing though, panic buy.

Not for me. Jags should've been phased out 2 seasons ago and it hasnt happened. Mangala has been at 2 big clubs and just fell out of favour with a manager as he can't play the ball out of defence.

He's still a solid CB and an upgrade for us.

I can't agree that he is an upgrade, going off what I have seen of him at his time at City, he has no composure which is what we are crying out for, I honestly can't see how this lad is such an upgrade on our carthorses, he's just a younger carthorse, he's a liability and disaster waiting to happen, so not needed in our panic stricken team if you ask me.

I sincerely hope he proves me wrong and needed the loan move to find his feet and hopefully will be better for it in our League, I really hope, fingers crossed.
