keeping both coleman and young reeks of sentimentality
A lack of any ambition to improve anything.keeping both coleman and young reeks of sentimentality
Young is exceedingly fit for his age and has done a decent job as cover this season. Whatever we don't spend on another utility man just stays in the pot for others, right?A lack of any ambition to improve anything.
Bill will be looking up at us and cackling jovially, that fans are falling for the same old Club propaganda yet again.
Linked with big signings that will never happen, then renewing/signing old/average players on the cheap to fill the squad.
We tried…. But we’ll go with what we’ve got.
Agreed. It is clear the positive impact that both Seamus and Young have with the players.….Coleman was always going to be here, we wait confirmation about his role.
I don’t think it’s sentimentality, particularly in the case of Young. It’s a period of major change, be it owners, new stadium, new organisation and new players and I think we underplay how important the influence of leaders are.
Very interesting Moyes said Coleman has ‘carried the club’ at times and ‘I need him here’. No real reflection on his recent contribution as a player, more his influence as a man.
No idea why some are upset by this news as I doubt it’ll impact the intention of bringing in a RB next season. Some managers have huge backroom contingent, Moyes might have different influencers.
I’m glad you agree keeping them has nothing to do with their fitness and footballing ability, but their ability to be “a good lad” in the dressing room. Perhaps they should hire a stand-up comedian instead to keep the lads positive for a fraction of the price?Agreed. It is clear the positive impact that both Seamus and Young have with the players.
Moyes does not want to lose that at a time when a lot of new faces come in.

Now imagine a scenario where both of them are on the pitch at the same time in each full back position with 20 year old wingers running at them.because i don’t really want a situation were either of them are on the pitch next year, they were finished years ago
