The Club is offering new contracts to Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gana Gueye, while we continue to liaise with representatives of Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the current deals of all four players expiring at the end of June.

As previously confirmed, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Ashley Young, Joao Virginia, Asmir Begovic, Mason Holgate and Neal Maupay will leave Everton when their current contracts expire at the end of this month, with loanees Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrøm, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja returning to their parent clubs

Interesting way of wording the difference between Gana/Coleman and Keane/DCL.

I'm guessing the contracts are offered because they meet the players requirements?

Keane and DCL must either be waiting to see if anyone offers them more or if they can negotiate a better terms with Everton before a contract is placed on the table.

To be fair to Keane he might be looking for a move where he can get some playing time. The club might be happy to keep him, he might like to stay, but he may be wanting some game time too, he`s always fit to play but can`t get a game here. DCL on the other hand is so often out with an injury, a bit out of form when he plays, and has given a lot of folks the impression he`s looking for to sign somewhere else, just by the length of time he had a contract offer and did n`t want to sign it.

Apparently DCL contract effectively off the table as the sides couldn't come to an agreement, according to Toffe TV.

Guess the Keane situation is they've offered him a cheap short term deal only (please God), and he wants more of both plus playing time.
