I see the little sh!te has come out and apologised for the inexcusable action... Damage limitation team have moved in........

Kenny Dogleash tweeted something to defend him - somesuch about sticking together. Rodgers more or less condemned it on their OS and RAWK is in meltdown pretty much saying that was indefensible.

I daren't go over, but please tell me it's imploding big time? I'd love for that place to come crashing down round their ears.

There's always the chance that, having bitten him, Ivanovic would have fallen over/thrown him to the ground which would give rise to a penalty shout.

There's an awful lot struggling to find the right words to defend him - verbal dexterity at its best - support the club, get behind the club, no one bigger than the club, deserves a ban - come back next season - to those who think it's a step too far. Some were just comparing it to other on the field thuggery which only goes so far to explain the situation - it may well be one thing to go in hard and fair, hard and unfair and worse but there's no excuse for sinking your teeth into an opponent - and it's not as if he doesn't have form!

Luis Suarez said: "I am deeply sorry for my inexcusable behaviour earlier today during our match against Chelsea.

"I have issued an apology and have tried to contact Branislav Ivanović to speak to him personally. I apologise also to my manager, playing colleagues and everyone at Liverpool Football Club for letting them down."

The club's managing directory Ian Ayre commented: "Luis has made an unreserved apology for his actions today.

"His behaviour is not befitting of any player wearing a Liverpool shirt and Luis is aware that he has let himself and everyone associated with the club down. We will deal with the matter internally and await any action from the FA."

Brendan Rodgers added: "Having reviewed the video footage and spoken to Luis, his behaviour is unacceptable and I have made him aware of this."

whenever a manager is in trouble they offer Dalglish an ambassador role, and as he has no self respect he will take it.......

Kenneth is like that clubs battered wife who just can't resist coming back home because he believes this time, THIS time, it won't all end in tears. I actually feel kind of sorry for him in a way. That club has treated him like dog dirt on more than one occasion but he always comes back for another helping. It's quite sad really
