With dalglish I don't think the players are that bad (a long way from good mind) but the prices are horrific for which he along with the worlds worst Director of Football he takes responsibility for.

I'm not defending his purchases Honestly but Carroll at £15m might have been seen to be not too bad and would have had a lot less pressure maybe the same really with a half price Henderson. I can see what they were trying to do but they made an unholy mess of it.

i think barring suarez, they were all terrible signing, i feared every time downing was linked with us , he's just that typical midfielder who can only do it at small clubs, i'd never even heard of henderson and charlie adam, well badly adam. Caroll is an okay player on his day, but his day is every 8 or 9 games, none of their prices helped but they were all terrible signings, worse than what rodgers has bought so far imo.

i don't think sturridge and coutinho will turn out to be good signings either, sturridge is average who has these purple patches and i've already seen signs of coutinho being bullied in this league. people always use excuses like mata and silva with regards to lightweights overcoming the physicality, but these are really special players, coutinho isn't close to that league. I was just stating how they look to be good signings atm because of how well they've started, but like you, i think they will only turn out to be a bit better than average.

To be honest, from what I've seen of him (admittedly very little) coutinho looks a player.
 
Inter had a bit of a nightmare in the jan window thinking they'd get Paulinho to replace Coutinho but the São Paulo played swerved them last minute.

Coutinho is good and will be amazing against the likes of Wigan, Norwich and the like but I think he'll go missing in the big games. He's only got the one Brazil cap after all. But, I do envy them having a Brazilian no. 10.
 
I just think Coutinho 10 looks awesome on the back of a shirt and regardless of how good he is or not ( I don't really know ), I am jealous of them ffs.
 
Every team should have a Brazilian number 10. What number was Andersen de Franca haha?

Sky Sports reported this morning that Sewerez could be a summer target for Pep Guardiola..............take a look on Rank and all the suarez threads have been locked or removed ha ha .....what price free speech aye..

His brother is suarez' agent. They'll be burning some shirts before the Summer is out.
