Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva tells BBC Sport that he believes manager Brendan Rodgers' plans for the club need to be supported.

"We can see what they have in mind, in terms of taking the club back to the top," he said.

"A lot of players came in and a lot of players left, so it's not easy really. When you see the teams that fight at the top, they have players that play for many years for the club and they know each other.

"I think Brendan is trying to build a competitive squad and a good team for the future. I think it's going to work and hopefully sooner rather than later."

ahahahahahaha, oh yeah, i forgot last years league champions was a squad assembled over 10 years, built on team bonding and togetherness that was formed over year of work.

they're in exactly the same position as last year (actually worse off seeing as they aren't going to reach any finals) yet they are providing this popular misconception to everyone that they're actually improving

And Kenny really thought he had both hands on this job but he knows I know That he Knows I know what he Knows I know...that we are winners..when we lose we win...cos we are growing..and things are shrinking ..but we are staying ..when things are leaving.....and we were magnificent tonight and will be again..we were strong in posession ..even without the ball..we pressed but we backed off....we closed down the space and pressed hard....yet we contained them in our own half whilst allowing them to have the ball...and we were magnificent tonight...the effort and application was magnificent tonight.....and we will learn from this but we must forget this and move forward but always with an eye on the past...cos we were magnificent tonight.

There is an article in the Daily Star about Gerrard and why he didnt leave for chelsea and if the liverpool fans love him then they should let him leave with their blessing.
