They have anounced a debt increase of 22 mil and a loss of 40 mil

Daglish must have had a large bar bill....

They shelled out £9.6 million in termination payments as welll, one would imagine most of it going to KKK.

Its also worth pointing out that these figures dont include the net transfer spending since Brendan took over, which is running at around £40 million, or the payments to Swansea (around £5 million) for Mr Football either.

Hopefully the owners will feel pressure to offload some of their assets like Suarez just to help balance the books.

I wouldn't have thought that they bought Liverpool to throw away 50-60m a year

I heard quite a few kopites peddling the story that he selflessly refused his payoff because he loved the club so much. Always knew it was bollocks but nice to see it confirmed.

Never ever any chance of that mate he absolutely loves money , loves it. This is a bloke who came rushing back to save them one can only assume out of 'love' but initially dragged it out until he got the terms he wanted and when a contract extension was discussed he screwed them until he got exactly what he wanted.

I'm sure the club means something to dalglish but trust me money certainly does.

I think these figures make it more likely that suarez will be sold in the summer and they will spend that money on the brazilian version of Grant Holt

add another 40m onto that for player transfers which is why they had to get rid of so many players

aquilani, cole, doni, sahin, wilson, adam, spearing, carroll, bellamy, rodriguez, kuyt on average they would of been on 60k a week some higher some lower. the transfer values for the players were shocking

If the RS sell Suarez and Spurs flog Bale to Real it should really benefit us next season. It's alright have the money for them but try finding another player who will have the same impact.

And us losing Fellaini

We seem to be able to manage the loss of important players like Arteta, Cahill and Pienaar better than other sides. We close ranks and someone raises their game to fill the void. And we could probably buy 3 good players for the amount we got for Fellaini whereas other sides could be more wasteful.

They paid Cole to leave though dont forget, and the Sahin money was spent on someone on loan.

Moneyball. They're revolutionising the way football business is done.

Indeed.... it will also be interesting to see how far Ayre's prudence goes, especially given Sewerz' wanting a new contract already and the apparent wish to replace most of their defence.

Also is there anything more certain in world football right now than that Bale will get injured by an "accidental" challenge on Sunday?
