Minus Gerrard, Agger and Johnson, that was their starting XI.

nah lad, they bought cuntinho. he's a superstar.
...and you forgot lucas haha - allen scored so that's a lot more than what lucas would have done anyway. Think their younger players did okay. Can't really count sterling because he's ever present, but i wouldn't say their young full backs did anything wrong. skrtel has to take most of the blame for that, he was suppose to be the leader of that defence but he got bullied by a lower league peter crouch.

just because he was good last season, doesn't make him this awesome CB they think he is

Some real whoppers on RAWK.

Starting a chain, but I agree with this post. This week is either going to close the door on our chances of a top four finish or it makes them a tiny bit more realistic. Dwelling on what happened to a second string defence in a cup tie won't help anyone.

Onwards and upwards.

Does he really, really believe that they will get 4th?

Having read Rodger's post match quip - have to say I agree with his assessment of our kids. In fact, I'm liking him even more these days because he just calls a spade a spade.

Is that really a wise choice of words?

January: Brendan Rodgers on Luis Suárez's admission of diving: "It's unacceptable. It's not something we advocate, our ethics are correct."
February: On ballboys timewasting: "I know Charlie, he's a good boy. Any manager, player or coach would have wanted their ballboy to do the same thing."

haha, good spot. i realized he said that, didn't picture it in that context. son't advocate what he says either, a ballboy's job is to return the ball back into play, especially when using a multiball system like swansea do. should be up to players to timewaste because they can be punished by it.

btw rodgers wasn't pissed off with the ballboys timewasting, he was just pissed off that he admitted to it ;)

...see what i did there? i'm a god, suck me llama

Always with the Swansea Jack...

What a pr1ck this bloke must be (RAWK):

Today is exactly the sort of game an Ashley Williams or a Shawcross would earn their coin in.

If we're in the later rounds of the Champions League then Williams, Shawcross, Jagielka - they'd get shown up. We're not though, and that's where we need to get back. For all the belief we have amongst ourselves that Skrtel or Coates are better than these players. They don't really show it enough against your typical battering ram centreforward.

We can complain about how backwards the English game is and how we've got technically superior centrebacks, but it doesn't really matter. We really do lack a warrior and an organiser at the back and it routintely hurts us.

Call me Bluenosed but Jagielka is no Shawcross or Williams - that's precisely why he has a fantastic record as an Everton player and has something like 15 caps for England - because he's not a Shawcross type footballer - and he obviously has no recollection of Torres being put in Jag's back pocket and there's surely no man alive who's ever watched football willing to accuse Torres of being a battering ram of a centreforward. This muppet needs taking outside and shooting.

Fairclough on SSN....

"I think Stevie still has a few years left yet, he still looks as strong as ever..."

God I hope so. His legs have gone and he undermines any manager that comes in.
