ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They'd just beaten us in the cup final and I'd written it off as their double. I remember going into communications lock down until confirmation they'd won it right at the end of the game. Turned the radio on and it was 'kin bedlam. I'm running up and down the road punching the air.

Ha ha ha. McMahon was the best as @chrissyjack said above. "One minute....ONE MINUTE". GIRUY you cryin' arse Judas.
On that night I was working so had to record it with the VCR. I got home towards the end of the match and watched it. I'm fairly sure that Mickey Thomas had just scored when the tape stopped. IIRC the match started late due to crowd issues and as such there wasn't enough tape. I didn't know the end result. I couldn't phone anyone because it was about midnight. There was no internet and no blanket news coverage like now. I can only assume that teletext was not an option.
So I got in my car and drove to the pit. It was very quiet but there was one scruff hanging around.
I wound down the window and asked what the score was. Accompanied by a stream of obscenities It was established that the match had finished 0-2.
I said something like 'that's terrible' and drove home with a cheesy grin on my face.

Could be a bad weekend for them. Given lack of time and our poor form I've not been able to do a proper evaluation of this lot.

They (or Klopp) is getting away with murder because of the appalling form of Koeman. While they are undoubtedly performing better than us (hardly an achievement) they are really struggling.

What would worry me most if I were them is that Klopp's teams invariably peak in the first half of seasons. In his previous two seasons they have lost momentum as the season has gone on, and had a big dip in the second half of the season. Last season it was around a 20% dip in terms of points.

Klopp is used to Germany and his whole managerial approach is suited to that. Where you get a 6 week break half way through the season. Essentially you have 2 seasons with 2 pre seasons to re charge and re-build fitness. It's the opposite of here and he gets shown up.

This time last season they were supposed to be sailing miles ahead of United. Now they are miles behind. Who is to blame for that? I think they will finish 6th this season, which will not be enough.

I hope your last sentence turns out to be wildly optimistic

Ha Ha Ha.

Ideally lukaku scores a hat-trick on saturday, then gets a career ending tackle from henderson...henderson is then banned from football for life, this leads to liverpool boycotting the premier league and ceasing to exist

possible

why would you want lukaku to get a career ending injury ? We had 4 years of a great strikers career and tripled our dough on him . He’s a bit of a beaut but I certainly don’t wish him harm I hope he smashes it and utd win loads to p1ss off the mutants across the park . Because we aren’t going to win anything for a long time .
