Lots of reds on twitter trying to suggest Sammy Lee 'refused to follow Koeman to Everton' and are touting it as some sort of victory for themselves and that we're all gutted and bitter about it.

lollollol
Actually giggling here hahaha

For the younger members, nothing new with the RS. From 1978 at Anfield. Chap lost his eye.

I wondered how they would spin our Koeman appointment, haven't been over their yet to have a proper look. I doubt they'd do the decent thing and admit they were wrong when they predicted we would be approaching either Stubbs/Moyes. Just as I doubt the cretin who quoted my post saying Koeman would come back from his holiday early to join Everton will admit he was wrong either. They are by in large mentally ill and I can't help but think acknowledgement is beyond them.

It seems they are going for the old "no trophies in 8 years" line (which rather mirrors their own experiences). I will do a proper table for their benefit in a few days comparing the 4 managers in the North West this season and let people objectively pick out which one is the odd one out on trophies won. (Unfortunately they won't be able to discard the trophies won in different countries such as Portugal, Spain & Holland on that one).

Just as a quick point though. Klopp has won 3 trophies in 1 country as a player/manager. Koeman has won over 20, in 3 countries as a player/manager (8 being as a manager). Koeman has a 100% success rate of finishing in the top 7 of England while Klopp's stand at zero% (for seasons wher ethey have been at the club for over 65% of the games in a season).

In essence, compared to Koeman, Klopp is a complete no mark loser. Koeman is a significantly higher pedigree manager. No amount of twisting of information, omitting a trophies won, artificial time deadlines, aspie stats tables or screaming and shouting like the spoilt kid who's told their not special anymore will change that. To anyone outside their echo chamber they will look increasingly silly.

It must be hard for them really. In spite of all he protestations deep down knowing rather than having "the best manager in the world" they have the 4th most successful manager in North West England.
Sad Sack was particularly smug on that thread about us unrealistically thinking we'd get Koeman. Gone a bit quiet now, probably off counting seats in shopping centre or something.
