ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I posted this on another forum the other day so I hope people don't think I'm repeating myself but it might be of interest especially in this thread . I'll just add I do get bits of info from a few sources generally this isnt one of them this is just stuff discussed over a beer so it might be rubbish but the person telling me is certainly in a position to know.

I was in the company of a major NW sports journalist the other night and he was talking about general footy gossip but i found the stuff he was saying about lfc of interest . first and boringly he said that Joe Allen is all but done but they don't want to pay the clause price of £15m so are haggling and trying to push down the price and as I've also heard from another source that Swansea want Mark Davies tied up before Allen leaves.

However he was then talking about all not being well across the park , that he'd heard rumours that Rodgers has (as we can perhaps see) already isolated the likes of Carroll & Adam and only really fancies Henderson out of the Dalglish new midfielders creating tension but hed he'd also heard some of the old backroom staff really don't rate Rodgers' people nor their computer based & moneyball type theories. There has already been mouthing off by some of them to journalists suggesting all is not well , then someone else joined in the discussion saying If Rodgers better hope Allen is good as if he comes in and 'wasn't up to it' that would further damage the manager and the dressing room as some have already said about borini 'Italian international , really ??" people in the game have already been critical to me of Rodgers with his handling of the potential Carroll transfer and this stuff seemed to back it up.

Now there might be nothing in it and im normally very confident of what i say from where it comes from but this is frankly 'gossip' and no more than that from somewhere else than i usually hear stuff but I'm hoping there is something to it and things start to unravel , fingers crossed but who knows.

In reference to my post above Pep Segura head of the RS Academy and fancied in the past for a bigger role has left the club, I believe he was one of the names mentioned to me by the bloke as not 'buying into ' Rodgers or his plans and I think someone else might well be leaving soon as well.

funny, just seen a group on facebook called 'My dream is to watch Liverpool play at Anfield' and the cover photo was a sign saying 'We're Scouse and Proud.' Irony haha

Norwich v QPR draw put The RS just where they belong come Saturday night.

(If nothing else they'll be bottom in the "in play" table after 3.00)

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has been talking about Liverpool ahead of his team's game at Anfield on Sunday: "I think Liverpool will fight for the title this year because they play well, they bought good players, they have a good manager and they have changed their style of play.

"They come from a game against West Bromwich where they didn't deserve to lose but football is strange. For this I think it will be a hard game."

Mancini has also expressed his surprise at the news his injured striker Sergio Aguero has been called up by Argentina.

hah, man ciny is such a tard, he's surely popcorning here

Not that, but how "they're a good side, with good players, it's going to be a hard game for us, blah, blah, blah." Always patronizing the opposition. Of course, the deluded RS hordes will take Mancini literally and start foaming at the mouth again at the nailed-on prospect of a title challenge.

yeah, i was only referring to the title challenging as popcorn. if man city play the liverpool team in front of them rather than history and such, they should rip them apart, ala OT 5-1 or WHL 6-1 like last season. pity RS got lucky with aguero being out

City got lucky, too. Suarez will be playing, so that cancels out the loss of Aguero.

Who wants to see a liverpool kit shown on display in China? Okay then what if it were made of condoms
