Rogers has put plenty of pressure on Allen saying he would of paid more for him and saying stuff like he could play for Spain .

Or maybe , because they can't buy the worlds superstars, they are deluding themselves into believing they are buying a similar player for a fraction of the price. A bit like that advert for Aldi or Lidl with the top brand and the cheaper option thats just as good. They should just do an Aldi/Lidl-type advert with footballers
Rodgers bought Allen because he knows what he can do, he'll be a Xavi type player and I guarantee he has more touches of the ball then many players in the PL; he his a very tidy and neat player and his job will be simple, pass the ball-collect the ball-pass the ball-collect the ball.
I recently read the article on Rodgers and it impressed me very much, he'll have a better calibre of player at his disposal and I really think they could get CL football if he pulls it off. They'll play high pressure football, he wants the ball back within 6 minutes of loosing possesion.
Tika-taka is the evolution of total football, it is more about what the player does in a certain area of the pitch and each player must know what they need to in that area. He has divided the pitch into 8 sections; even the goalkeeper has a part to play, he acts like a sweeper; the high pressure football he'll employ will result in more long balls over the top from the opposition, hence the need for the goalkeeper to be aware of what he needs to do.
Every player needs to look up every 5-10 seconds to get a mental picture of what is around him, so when he receives the ball he can lay it off without actually looking and getting pressured, he'll know where people are.
KKK was so out of it, thats why they were piss poor last year, he didn't have a plan B. 4-4-2 and 2 wingers. RS will suprise a lot people on here next season, and even some of there fans who were ripping Rodgers on his appointment.
