TO be fair......

When we last won a trophy 20 seasons ago and they last won a trophy a few years ago i don't think they are worried about us winning a trophy first.

My point being that in the last 10 years we are more equipped than ever, to actually try and win a trophy, they knew as well as we did years ago we were in for years of struggle from say mid 90's to early 00's. He who shall not be named done a good job restoring some pride to the blue half of merseyside.

You mean like when the fans say its football that wins here, simply because having a new team challenge other than United, Chelsea and city was great to watch ? If maybe a team like West Ham had pushed them then it would of been something different, maybe Southampton this year ? They forget the media darlings Libpool Futbal Klub have spent hundreds of millions and are widely regarded as one of the big four ?
