Tell you what it must have been gutting. I thought the 3-0 surrender against wigan hurt crystanbul has everton written all over it

Whats the virtue in not caring anyway? Your first chance of a league title in a 1/4 of a century has disappeared and there won't be another one for the foreseeable future.... you should care, there's no shame in it.

Trying to turn into a victory without being a victory (even if we were to believe them to be sincere) is, quite frankly, weird.
Wait! Surely you're not suggesting that they didn't actually win anything?

If ever you wanted a microcosm of RS brainwashed lunacy..... Today's Echo 'Judge and Jury' Liverpool opinion page... Neil Atkinson, host of "The Anfield Wrap" and author of "Make Us Dream...The Story of Liverpool's 2013/14 Season" being asked.....

Q : The Reds return to Crystal Palace on Sunday. Whats more important - revenge or three points ?

A : "Revenge ? What for? Listen, lets get something straight - one of the greatest things that ever happened in football happened last season at Selhurst Park in this fixture : Liverpool collectively tried to win a game 10-0. 10-0. And they very nearly succeeded. The stats from the game are incredible. Liverpool had a shot every three minutes against a Tony Pulis team. It was, for seventy minutes, Liverpool's best away performance of the season. They ran themselves into the ground. What else are we in it for if not that ? Its easy to be cynical in football. Its ongoing from all supporters. But this game does transcend whether or not what Liverpool tried to do succeeded; that they tried to do is the success. "

So there you have it....that Palace game is now considered a success. Tossing away a three goal lead, two precious points at the crux of a season and ultimately the chance for their fingertips to brush their holy grail, The Premiership. Right.

Yes. It was a success.

Losing a 3 goal lead wasn't their fault. It was the referee's fault and teams cheating against them what caused the fault they didn't win the league.

Last season transcended boring stuff like winning the league...it was full of pure football...you were blessed to be alive to see it.

Roll up, roll up...Make Us Dream...just eight of your English pounds.

Ker-Ching!!!

Ha Ha Ha indeed. I loved the last mini paragraph. ' How many supporters around the world, the whole wide world, how many have had that moment, how many have had a moment so pure '

Oh aye. A pure moment

But mate. Can't you see they are crying tears of joy. Tears of utter delight at getting to see their heroes Studger and Lewy chasing a triumphant 10 goal win, tears of adrenaline at seeing the Welsh Xavi stride around Mile Jedinak in midfield, and tears of happiness at seeing Raheem at the tip of the diamond weaving his magic... for 78 minutes

I love that photo, you can tell the fat desk bound mutant has never kicked a ball in his life, what a superb objective sports journalist he must be

Liverpool fans genuinely think they are most peoples second team. And in a sense this is correct : most non RS fans/neutrals watching a Liverpool game, want them to finish second.

The weird thing about that Palace game (to me) is how quickly it went from 10-0 OMG OMG to Liverpool on their heels trying not to throw that game away. Just proves that Rodgers caught lightning in a bottle and his luck ran out. Not a very good manager, not some tactical genius, out of the club by March I bet.

surely they should be watching their own games, and they would have seen from that every opposition singing the gerrard song. it's kind of a good indicator

it just makes it all the more brilliant. the way they were sprinting back to the semi-circle at 2 and 3-0. what were they thinking? they made themselves look right muppets, especially when you watch back knowing the final result.
