The other question that has to be asked of course, is, if his supposed second string team that he put out, expecting them to perform as they did and reduce Real to only beating them by a solitary goal is such great management by himself. How come he got it oh so wrong at Anfield.

There is the question to be asked, that, if his ideas and tactics last night were so right, maybe his entire season has been one of abject failure for himself. He clearly doesn't have the depth of knowledge of his own squads capabilities that he believes he does. If his second string can perform better than the team he puts out on the majority of occasions, surely that would suggest poor management decisions are the root cause for the teams downfall, and ultimate failure.

You must remember. Nothing is ever his fault.

Unless they do well, then it is all about his genius.

What he has also done is to heap the pressure on his team come Saturday.

The only way to placate the Orcs after last night's surrender is to make it appear as as end to justify a means.....in this case, beat Chelsea.

Good luck with that one, Brent ;)

No mate, you just don't understand genius.......

I had to change the team after the performance against Newcastle .....

The players understood and they respect the squad will be used throughout the season. The players know the name is irrelevant to me. It’s not about the name, it is about the performance. I spoke to Steven Gerrard over a week ago and told him my plans and he was fine about it, a true professional.
So he planned to change the team before the Newcastle game and it wasn't about performance then - or was it?

As the thread title says of a ' Witch Hunt against Liverpool' I haven't heard too many complaints about it yet but they have 9 games in 25 days as from the end of this month. That includes the last 2 remaining Champions League games (which are must wins) and they can't afford to put a weakened team out and also they have a Capital One Cup fixturewedged between them 9 games in 25 days. Expect alot of complaints from Brendan & Co. very soon!
