“I’m trying to stop talking about Suarez. He’s not there anymore, forget him, he’s moved on and he’s not coming back. You’ve got to look at what you’ve got now. And they have to get more from those attacking players. There’s also got to be a lot more creativity in that midfield.

“But the longer it goes on it shows how important Suarez was – more important than we all thought at the time.

“At times last season Brendan Rodgers, in press conferences, came out and said ‘we’re not a one-man team, you’re being disrespectful to some of the other players’. But week by week it’s shown Liverpool were almost a one-man team at times last season. Those stats are damning really.

“Ok, they’ve had criticism defensively but this is probably as big a problem, if not more.”

'Suarez was - more important than we ALL thought at the time'. No Jamie. The RS dominated media tried to browbeat the rest of the football world into claiming that Mr Clever's 'philosophy' and 'genius tactical ability' and 'great man-management skills' and 'gives the youngsters a chance' and an 'all round brilliant manager who is walking in Shanks footsteps' was the reason LFC went their closest in 25 long years to winning the title.

The RS dominated media couldn't bang the 'LFC are not a one man team' drum loud enough.

Carragher has started the ball rolling to put the boot into Mr Clever. And in the process try and keep retain some 'credibility' that it wasn't only him that was 'wrong' about how important Suarez really was to LFC and their title 'charge'.

I've got £20 on them to win.

• Heaviest away defeat in group stages
4-2: Bayer 04 Leverkusen v Liverpool
09/04/02, quarter-finals second leg
2-0: twice, most recently ACF Fiorentina v Liverpool
29/09/09, group stage

Heaviest away defeat in Europe

• Heaviest away defeat
5-1: AFC Ajax v Liverpool
07/12/66, European Champion Clubs' Cup second round first leg. Well Mr Clever does want to be compared with Shankly.

They have already suffer their heaviest home defeat, the 3-0 drubbing by Real.

• Heaviest home defeat
1-3 twice, most recently v Chelsea FC
08/04/09, UEFA Champions League quarter-finals first leg
0-2 on three occasions, most recently v SL Benfica
08/03/06, UEFA Champions League first knockout round second leg.

Rodgers will go down in the anals of LFC history as the manager who 'cleverly' brought the heaviest home and away defeat in Europe.

Do you know what the crazy thing is about recent posts regarding the dark side ? We always say we should expect more for our great football club, yet we give Liverpool a hard time for doing just that. Who is the guy who does these hand drawn charts explaining things in simple terms for the rest of us ? Maybe he could draw a line and show us just how far over it Liverpool have gone in their own heads of how great they are ?

No one saw that coming, its kind of funny its taken them untill Nov to acknowledge this.

Cant wait for the presser after the game tonight when Bren throws "the group" to the wolves, i wouldnt be surprised if Stevie all about me is dropped as he knows he would get the fans back up if he hung him out to dry in the media. I hear a plane is booked and a "fly over" is on the way.

INTENISTY LADS.

Hammered Real to be fair, particlularly in the handicap so I hope you're right fella.

Obviously to win tonight they need to out score them, considering they can't hit a barn door with a banjo it's not likely they fair well in a shoot out of the two. The best bet if you're looking for a Liverpool win seems to be 1-0 @ 50/1.

We need to be careful lads, there was a fly over at the Swansea game, im sure many of us didnt have a clue what it said mind. It did serve its purpose though as many of us seen the banner, thats the purpose of advertising i believe.
