ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I used to work at Alder Hey. When the players come round (either side) there's always a good vibe and a bit of good- natured ribbing (I can't bring myself to type "banter", the word has been defiled by soccer am type helmets) between all of the families and the teams, no matter who the patient supports. I look at that picture and actually think, "good on the Liverpool players for having their photo taken with that lad, because you know the family definitely put his bedspread in pride of place, knowing full well they were on the ward ." There would have been some ribbing from both sides.

Your average RAWK parasite takes the piss out of that picture and no-one calls them out over it. Spiteful, horrible sentiments run through that club, right from the top, with constant examples of bad behaviour going unpunished. Why are we surprised when it filters down to their fans?

Been done to death but I'm bored.

Well said mate. My sister in law is/was a doctor there. Had nothing but praise for all the players from both clubs. And as someone who has dealt with personally and professionally all types of disability, they display some of the sharpest, sometimes cruelly so, humour.

....don't be surprised if there's a surprise in their next couple of fixtures. Like everybody else, I'd be delighted with demolition jobs but where they are concerned expect the unexpected. Irony is they can still qualify for next stage and are right on the heels of top4 (as are we).

I don't trust them.

Well said mate. I remember tweeting that pic last X-mas because it was a great pic that goes beyond football. They really are a despicable bunch laughing at a disabled kid. Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.

"Brendan Rodgers may be prepared to gamble on Daniel Sturridge’s fitness for Liverpool’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid with the England striker travelling with the rest of the squad on Monday".

“For the team to have confidence, it’s important that you look like you can score a goal,” the manager told the club’s website. “We didn’t look as if we could threaten so much. I’m a creative and attacking coach, and we have seen over my time here how we build teams to score goals in order to win games. But at the moment it’s not quite happening for us. We just need to analyse the game and work harder to make it work.”

A major gamble to play Sturridge if he is not fully fit. But Rodgers is up the creek and needs to find a paddle.

Hahahahahahaha

We have seen over my time here ffs, He's been there for 2 and a bit seasons

Just a small reminder that in his first season they scored 47 goals, 3 less than an Everton side managed by Moyes

Clown

Hes hitting the wall now in self praising flattery by referring to himself within three sentences no matter what the subject. He did the same I noticed in the Gerrard contract articles and he cant resist it now. Apart from when hes having his teeth veneers Karcher power washed, he doesn't do self examination, so theres no danger of this farce abating. Let the ridicule continue and escalate.

.......or UEFA and its sponsors. Thats why I want out them out the CL before the knock out stages, away from the 'remarkably' favourable fixtures and ' on message' referees that will 'keep the European dream alive'
