But, but he has got this on his CV, something Shankly, Fergie and Mourinho haven't.

My only concern is if they bin Rodgers, they might actually get someone in who knows what he's doing. Of course, that new hire will need to spend hundreds of millions to replace the dross currently on the books and it's not likely the incumbent owners are likely to do that. Worst-case scenario is FSG selling to someone with bottomless pockets who then hires an actual football manager to run things.

My boss is a RS and this morning told me that he thinks Brenda is doing a great job... was a tad offended when I asked him how long he'd been running a temperature and hallucinating :D

I know a few who never took to him, in fact I've been more supportive of him and than they have probably.

I was made up when he got his new contract in the summer and spunked £130m on crap, long may he reign.

Its only a matter of time before BR asks us to sing louder, clap harder, get behind the team more. It will be our fault next. The man is a complete phoney. Get BR out of anfield now before we get any closer to the transfer window!

Yet again BR fails to shoulder the blame for his shortcomings in the transfer market. He has wasted money on players either not ready/not good enough for the premiership. We will only improve when this phoney either wakes up out of his dream or at last leaves our once mighty club.

I can't believe the transformation, look how far he has travelled on his amazing personal journey , from the stained toothed, slightly rotund, milk bottle white, happily married mondeo driving man of old. Brendan Rodgers, I salute you.

Phony, fake, fraud....get your own insults Kopites, they're the ones we use about Tadgers.

Sturridge and Countinho played a part as well to be fair to them

Suarez was the ace in the hole though, without doubt

.....Coutinho appears to be struggling for a game since Lallana's arrival which is a surprise.

As you both alluded to, Suarez is the key difference between this season and last but there are other factors. For me, Sturridge, Suarez and Gerrard were the cornerstones of a successful team model. Gerrard sat in front of the CBs making them defensively solid. He was in touching distance of the Holy Grail and pulled out every last effort of his battered body for that cause.

From his position he played Quarterback role hitting Suarez and Sturridge early and they turned those half chance situations into goals. Gerrard rarely crossed the halfway line. This season he's had to leave his defensive station to try and make things happen further up the pitch leaving his CBs exposed.
