Hello mate, we've not had our question of the day for a while. I'm pleased you've stuck around, could you answer this though.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?
LOL Bungle. Still up to the same old shenanigans. Is it true that a rhetorical question doesn't require an answer?

Very unlikely, I would have thought.

Shankley was a Scottish Presbyterian and the term "Holy Trinity" is a very Catholic one.

Goes back to the second century a.d. apparently. Seems to be more Church of England term these days ... lots of C of E churchs called this; never come across a Catholic church / parish called it though.

WheyHey....Holy Trinity Catholic was my home parish when I was growing up in in Garston, 1966.....:)

COE and Catholic doctrine are pretty similar though.....and indeed it is a term the former uses and there is a COE parish in the city.

It wouldn't be sommat the Presbies would be saying, I would have thought which is why I doubt Shankley would have been quoting it.

Shankly didn't use it in a religious sense apparently. Something about the trinity being players, fans and the manager - directors don't count fight the power YNWA.

Oh god. I did so well avoiding that place for so long.

Apparently we can't have a go at them thinking they're still a European super power because we still remember the greatest english striker of all time.

They'll get beat easily.

Their playing one of the top sides in Europe thats jam packed with quality players and a great manager, their playing awful and are missing their main goalscoring threat, plus their talismanic captains legs couldn't carry him away from a house fire. Their defence is comically bad most of the time and tonight it's up against some of the finest attacking talents in the world, it's going to be like watching some 1940s Hollywood slapstick.

Just sit back and enjoy the carnage.
