Rodgers is just running the first team into the ground. Unfortunately Basel looked poor as well so a good bit of corrupt refereeing will probably see Liverpool win at home and scrape out of the group on goal difference thanks to Madrid thumping Basel. If they hadn't of got that cheating penalty against Ludogorets they'd be out of 'their' competition already by now. Actually watching Liverpool being reffed fairly for once is so refreshing, so when they foul its actually blown and the ref isn't pointing towards the penalty spot as soon as Sterling gets into the area before he's even dived. They get so much momentum in the league from persistent fouling that goes un punsihed and then decent tackles against them which are over punished. The derby was a nightmare for that, Henderson charging around booting anything that moved and the ref doing nothing but yet giving free kicks every time Barry breathed on Balotelli.

Had Basel on my acca, a win was nailed on there. Unfortunately had Atletico/Juventus both teams to score. The form Juventus are in and couldn't even score a goal. Jokers.

My betting luck is horrendous.
