I'd guess short span of hereditory weath accumulation, large family sizes with poor financial and educational backgrounds. People tend to do as well as their parents. Sure outright racism might play a role but it can be the same as with women in that they might just ask less for the same job. The world is there for everyone to take, but you don't have to try so hard if you have a safety net and support through family and friends who likely share the same economical and educational frame.

Way I see it, these are similar acts. Both groups here are acting in the way their ancestors did for commercial benefit, possibly to suit themselves financially. That's how I see it anyway.

If I'm honest mate, not one little bit. I'm on a very basic wage (unless I perform well over a month). I just checked my account and I have £20.06 precisely in my account left for a week and a half and now I can't go out tonight (ffs). I'm concerned about numero uno. I'm a money grabbing little [Poor language removed] and if some company doesn't pay someone as well because they are black, well, that's really not my problem. That sounds harsh and cynical but it's true. The only thing I can say is that if I ran a company, colour of skin wouldn't affect wages. That will mean nothing but what else can I do? I'm in a job for me and my earnings only. I'm not gonna fight everyone elses fight for them am I? And do you know what, if this myth is true, and company's are still racist with wages (which I dont believe in this day and age for a second is true) and I get more money because I'm white- ****ing get in.

Jesus wept, who said anything about white people getting more money for the same jobs? I'm talking about black people earning less than white people on average.
I've mentioned before about the study that was done when they sent out lots of CVs to various supposedly equal-op employers. In each case two CVs were sent, identical in every way other than the fact that one would have a name like Michael Robinson on it and the other a name like Kwame Ikutu. The amount of "European" names invited to interview was startlingly higher than the African ones.
I doubt whether any of the people reading the CVs would consider themselves to be racist and yet there was obviously some "force" at play. It's called Racism and it is part of our society, acting against non-white people. The best way to combat it is to first of all acknowledge that it's there and that we are all of us part of the problem.
