Apologies if that's been posted earlier, but where on earth do you beigin to start with stuff like that?!

Frightening.

Actually sick. Nothing short of horrifying.

In fact, you know what? I'm not discussing football with another Kopite again. They sicken me. It's not just the article itself, which is appalling and could possibly be dismissed as the ravings of a deluded lunatic - it's the actual support underneath that takes the p*ss.

They can [Poor language removed] off. Sorry for the language, but seriously, I'm not talking football to one of them again.

Should have been the only ones to have been banned, surely? Our behaviour in Rotterdam two weeks earlier was exemplary, remember.

Of course. I'm just saying that given that everyone else (especially us) had to carry the can as well, they should have had an extended ban to emphasise that it was they who were responsible.

Just to balance it, I'm reading through the comments and found these.

I think this attitude is indicative of a growing issue I have with football support at the moment. It is by no means a problem exclusive to our club, however due to the empowerment felt by sections of our support due to the reasonably effective “internet terrorists†campaign against Hicks & Gilette.
Based on my belief that the FA report is so inconclusive, flawed and contradictory of itself that I have no logical option other than to support Luis Suarez, I still find the attitude displayed above as being slightly counter productive.
But the blame for this rests solely with the football club and how we handled this issue from minute one. Firstly and most damaging to us, the air of conspiracy and “them against us†attitude that the club has cultivated. Because people, no matter how you feel about it, the second you start entertaining conspiracy theories you lose ALL credibility.
“The newspapers have an agenda to destroy Liverpool!!â€
No, since before we existed, newspapers have had only one agenda, to sell more newspapers. And as no criminal charges were pressed against Luis we were a soft target. They had free reign to write the most inflamitory headlines possible. While this is morally reprehensible, THIS is the nature of the beast. But everytime someone tweets a link with “Look what Ollie Holt has said today†you’ve just added to their site traffic and fuel yet more stories on a similar theme.
On another point, the ridiculous FA report was so flawed on its own, nobody had any need to attack Evra as a defence of Luis Suarez. On a personal level i find it morally wrong to personally attack people who report an offence, the reason being that as i wasnt there, i have absolutely no idea what was said or with what intention.
HOWEVER when you attack Evra, people rightly assume that your just being biased, because you have no idea what was said and with what intention. Again your credibility (which isnt great due to being percieved as a conspiracy nut) has taken a further knock. And exactly what opinions you expect to change when you’re percieved as a biased conspiracy nut is beyond me.

I understand why so many people are pissed at the club because so many people posted pictures that “PROVED†that the handshake was a set up, that the handshake protocol had been tampered with. Again, they apparently did this to set us up.
When our own player, manager and managing director blew that theory out of the water those same people are going to feel betrayed. Unfortunately in the conspiracy rich enviroment which our support now live in, for the most part the apology has been rationalised as another conspiracy. I think our fellow supporters have a right to be angry, but I would direct my anger at the club for being indecisive and at the FA for its ill judged crusade against racism and for its completely flawed diciplinary procedures.
But putting it bluntly, engaging in “them against us†and conspiracy theories does you a disservice. It erodes your credibility and more to the point its pretty dumb. Proved in my opinion, by the outrage against the apologies is ironic because its actually gotten the press off our back finally. Further proved by the lack of outrage against Luis who by his actions on Saturday made Kenny look an absolute tit, and this after kenny has got to war for Luis since october at personal cost to himself.
Anyway folks thats just my opinion, its as valid (or invalid) as anybody elses on here, so make of it what you will.

I really do not agree with most of this post. Its a shame. People from all around the world read these pieces and think that everyone inside the city thinks like this and…we don’t/ In fact the lads i stand on the kop with would pretty much flatly disagree with all of it.
I am not really in a position to give my own opinion here, just that to everyone reading it – not everyone in Liverpool thinks this way. Its just getting silly now.

I’m probably going to get slated for this, but ……..I sent an e-mail to TAW, because I felt that the podcast glossed over the betrayal by Suarez on Saturday. Here is an exerpt from it dealing with Suarez:
“Suarez:
I watched on Saturday a most depressing thing. I watched an opportunity for LFC to take a small step back out of the limelight, a chance to return to concentrating on football, disappear in the blink of an eye. I waited and waited, desperate to see video proof that what I thought I saw was the exact opposite. I waited for this debacle to be over.
I waited in vain.
I waited on Sunday for a reported apology … got 3, and read with great interest the reactions of some people on a well known Liverpool FC fan web site. We were cowtowing to the media, the sponsors, the FA, MUFC, the world, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah….
I waited on Monday with anticipation for the newest Anfield Wrap podcast, just to see what everyone had to say. There were some great opinions, there were still some who were reticent to blame Suarez outright.
“If he just changed his mind in the heat of the moment …… “
“I can understand he just doesn’t like Evra ….’
“Why would he want to shake the hand of someone who …..â€
BOLLOCKS !!!!!!
Suarez told Kenny he would shake Evra’s hand … he lied !
He lied to Kenny, to the very person who had defended him to the detriment of the whole of LFC.

Is Suarez that stupid that he didn’t realize the ramifications of not shaking Evra’s hand ?
Could he not figure out what it does to the rest of the club, to the fans who defended him, to the very core of what LFC is ?
Suarez LIED …. And in doing so, brings me to question “If he can lie once to Kenny over a handshake ….. could he have lied before ?â€

In one act of defiance, one act of betrayal, because that is what this is, he has brought into question everything about this case.
I find myself shaking my head, wondering if it was all a lie. One thing that is true … any chance of unveiling the truth of what happened on that pitch in October, just got thrown out of the window.â€

In one petulant act .. he single handedly undermined all defense of him … perhaps that realisation is why LFC then had to issue those apologies …
Raising the drawbridge is not the answer … stepping out front, and taking the lead on racism, bias, and showing the world that LFC is that diverse, all welcoming group is the answer … Don’t give the press, or Sky, or anypone else cause to attack us … make them fall in line with us by leading them to the moral high ground.

A brilliant point in that last one. If he lied to Dalglish about going to shake his hand then could he have lied about the whole thing with Evra? Well yes as the committee proved he'd lied but it shows what an unreliable person he is.

Another point about those going the match feeling this way. My mates have told me that this week.

They need to bring into check their online ninjas as they're f*cking idiots. All this is over pride, they had their arse handed to them after foolishly backing their player without considering he may have been guilty. Now the press and every other fan is tearing into them it goes against their delusion of the all mighty, all conquering, ultra moral LFC that they worship to try and give their life some meaning or belonging.

Nailed. Good man.

Where’s the website for Liverpool fans who are, quite frankly, a little embarrassed by their club’s behaviour? Where’s the article by the guy who is getting seriously tempted to mute the TV at every Kenny post match interview. Where’s the voice of those who, whisper it, think Suarez is a bit of a tool?
I love the Wraps, and I love Liverpool Football Club, but the attempts to “fairly†discuss the whole Suarez debate recently have been a struggle to listen to, and I’m absolutely convinced that I’m not alone. I haven’t even listened to this week’s Wrap yet. I’m still building up the courage.
I’m not even getting into the Heysel analogy. Ridiculous. Stick to tactics, Rob. Sorry.
YNWA.
Stewart.

FFS I'm turning into a kopite apologist here.

Problem is Cheeks, for every one sensible, well thought out post, there are 37 dickheads who will call these sensible reds "Mancs" for not kowtowing to Dogleash's victim mentality.
