Tonio, have you donated to the latest appeal for a new banner ???? seriously now on Rawk there is an appeal for donations for a new banner to show support for Klanny and smarmez..............get your money out Toni lid.

Oh my...

What bad tramps are organising that?! Just get a bed sheet and a tin of paint you melts. Oh please please let there be a banner, please god.

Interesting thread on RAWK reflecting upon their defeat over the Suarez race row:

Institutional failings and unresponsiveness exposed by the whole Suarez - Evra episode.

(1) Kenny should have been buffered and insulated from everything.

(2) "one thing has become clear in the whole Suarez mess. Ian Ayre is not a wartime consigliere" from @Foghorn256

(3) Lack of a truly wise counsel who knows how to play the game at the head of our organisation, on the ground level, a David Dein / Brian Barwick type

(4) Lax process in terms of our response to the allegations from the minute they were made

(5) Pitifully poor PR response that alienated rather than exploited our strengths and case both wrt Suarez but also our clubs commitment to anti-racism and the case we had and why we took the stance we did take specifically on the issues involved.

(6) Lack of joined up thinking and communication across our departments

(7) Failure to bring agencies on board with our point of view from the beginning

( 8 ) Years of insularity and short sightedness have left someone like John Barnes outside our institution - a waste of one of the finest men in all of football

(9) By leaving Kenny exposed, he was forced to become the focus of attention and instead of taking the pressure off him, we added to it.

(10) Pitiful lack of understanding about how perception shapes the narrative and debate

(11) We have responded to events rather than pre-empting or shaping them in advance.

These are just a few areas in which we have been exposed institutionally as failing.

Regardless of the fact that it obviously ignores that they were just plain wrong, it's good to see a fragment of rationality amongst the psychotic blizzard over there and they're now tucking into a large slice of humble pie. But I think the real truth of the matter isn't just that their 'institutional failings' got them into hot water but that they took on, in the shape of Man United, an adversary capable of handing their arses back to them.

In short: their usual bullying tactics were countered and they got a taste of their own medicine, and they now face an enormous task of rehabilitating themselves as a club.

Which is nice.

The problem with how the kopites dealt with the Suarez case is that Suarez was guilty, and demonstrably so (even on Suarez's evidence alone). No amount of PR spin, of smart legalese, of "going to the matresses" (to paraphrase Foghorn256) would have changed that, especially when Dalglish made his decision to back his player publically.

They have a Dear Kenny thread HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Thanks for your comments lads

I'm going to write to him at the club and Ill print out this thread.

Its easy to assume that someone knows how you feel or what you think about them- so you never say it - but sometimes things should be said - out loud.

I know he may not get it but I think its worth a try.

i have been reading the postings on that site also and some of what they come out with is just totally paranoid, delusional thinking. They are, more or less to a man, convinced that every sports writer and journo, every news channel and sports programmes are somehow waging a huge vendetta against their beloved club, Every other team hates them and that Alex Ferguson only has to pick up the phone and that the FA will dance to his merry tune.

They also, to a man, talk about how wronged smarmez has been and that there was no evidence to prove what he said,,, they seem to forget that he did actually admit to saying it, wethether it was ten times or once is irrelevant really as once is too much. As regards for the victim, Patrice Evra, like him or hate him it doesn't matter as in this case he was actually the victim, on Rawk he has been labelled a liar, a cheat, a scumbag, a dirty n****r, a cnut, a french cnut,,,,,, all by fans who claim to be the fairest in the land.

I am so so so so glad I was chosen to be blue.

Some of the thread titles alone are cringe worthy

Suarez/Kenny banner (donations needed, Update, size & price found in the OP)
New Banner Ideas

Martin Skrtel - My #1 choice at my side for any battle!!

Open Letter To Luis Suarez

The Alternative Premier League Table - OP edited 2/1/12 We're far enough into the season now that the league positions roughly denote the difficulty of playing each team. What would the alternative league table look like if we changed the pars to reflect this? For example it's fair to say that playing Swansea away would now be considered a par 1 rather than par 3.

Would there be much change?

edit- looked at our results and the only one of significance would be WBA away. They are now a par 3 rather than a par 1 so we would have lost the two point over par gain for having beaten them.

WHAT THE **** ARE THEY ON ABOUT FFS

it's like Duckworth Lewis mate, if someone can come up with a formula that nobody understands but leaves them top'ot'league then they get huge Kopite rep on a par with badgeman.
