Andy Carroll will never ever score 15 in the premier league.
Carroll is about 26% as good as Lukaku, and theres every chance we could get Lukaku on loan again next season.
Carroll had a fantastic Championship, his first full season, then his second year (first in the Prem) was good too.
Not saying he's a world beater, saying in a team with wingers (Stoke, West Ham, Newcastle) he'd score goals. Crouch has a decent record in teams like this too (and internationally), would never argue that they're skillful, just know where the net is.
7 goals at west ham., like. In over a season there.
Even for england, it's 2 in 9 which is less than 1 in 4. He's a decent kevin davies style ball holder up but he's not a goal scorer at all.
Alrighty statto, job for you, compared to other mid range strikers in the Prem league, how does he compare? I reckon he's doing okay amongst his peers, that was more my point, he's not gash, but he's not a world beater.
Compared to other strikers who cost 50 million, he's doing better than torres.
Hah yep.
Another unfortunate stigma attached to Carroll will always be his price Liverpool paid for him, even he knows he's nowhere near that value.

You seriously want to count goals scored in the ivorian league, seriously?
I ignored carrol's goals scored in the championship and I ignored kone's goal scored in subpar leagues. otherwise you're not comparing like to like.
In first class leagues carroll and kone are both 1 in 4 or 9 goal strikers which isn't great. You add an amateur african league to that and yeah they look better.
You can't pick and choose what information you want to include to prove your point.
Remove the 40 games at Seville seeing as he was playing out wide and it'll give you a different answer once again. Remove Torres' time at RS and his stats look worse. And for the record, Carroll got 7 in 24 which is just over 1 in 3, so saying he got 7 in a season is again misinterpretation, giving the impression he played a full season.
And just for the record, i never want him at Goodison because I think he his an awful footballer
He's done you there AF.
Fair enough, since we agree that all goals are equal. Kone scored 17 goals a season in the ivorian league, so I expect him to score 17 again this season.
What a bargain he'll be then.
Michael Wilde scored 25 goals last year in wales, though and Michael Higdon 26 in scotland and they're both scousers so we should probably buy them and we'll defo win the league.
