ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I didn't rate Phil Neville, I used to say he gave stability to others around him.

And Carrol is awful, otherwise he would have scored more than 6 goals in 44 games for the RS. He's a long ball king who was on the verge of being sold for a couple of million a couple of years ago

In the right team he scores goals, look at Newcastle, West Ham when he's fit.

That's not our team, but he's useful.

What a mental discussion, a striker's job is to score goals, must be doing alright.

It's not the world's best strike ratio. 72 premier league starts plus 37 off the bench and he's scored 27 goals. So that's what 1 goal every four games? So if he's fit all year, which he never is, that's 9 goals? So you're more likely to get 6 or 7 out of him. Not that impressed. That's what we get from our left back.

Yet people say Kone is crap, but his record over the years is not bad. So is he good or bad??? He scores goals

Again he doesn't really does he.

He's got 29 in 121 in the prem, bundesliga and la liga. So that's again 1 in 4. Which isn't really enough.

A 1 in 4 striker is only useful if the rest of his game is excellent, if all he's providing is goals, and that's the argument used here, then 1 in 4 just isn't enough.

Ok, so your using stats to prove your point, but only using the ones which are relevant to you. Not how you use stats bud, his strike rate is 1 in 3 over his career. If you only select the ones you want to use it gives people a misinterpretation of figures

You seriously want to count goals scored in the ivorian league, seriously?

I ignored carrol's goals scored in the championship and I ignored kone's goal scored in subpar leagues. otherwise you're not comparing like to like.

In first class leagues carroll and kone are both 1 in 4 or 9 goal strikers which isn't great. You add an amateur african league to that and yeah they look better.

Carroll had a fantastic Championship, his first full season, then his second year (first in the Prem) was good too.

Not saying he's a world beater, saying in a team with wingers (Stoke, West Ham, Newcastle) he'd score goals. Crouch has a decent record in teams like this too (and internationally), would never argue that they're skillful, just know where the net is.
