They absolutely need to be slapped down HARD. Getting ever more cocky, gobby and holier-than-thou the longer they stay in the top 4. The fecking beauts lost at home to Southampton FFS. The media w@nkage over them is almost as bad.

The Arse need to tear them a new one and someone needs to snap Suarez for good measure. Or get him sent off for being the snidey cnut that he is.

The same Southampton who are ahead of you in the table.....have some perspective ffs

What, the Southampton that are only ahead of us on GD despite having a considerably easier start than us?

Anyway, i really dont understand how they can all of a sudden love Suarez again. If a player acted like that for Everton but ended up staying i wouldnt be jizzing me kecks over them when they score a few goals. Embarrassing beauts.

Why don't you come back here when Southampton have beaten us at Goodison and you can lecture me some more on perspective then? I have no problem with Saints at all - good team - well-run club - but be realistic, even they wouldn't have expected to be this high up the table. Back on topic: the cocky RS ********s are the ones who really need another lesson in perspective.

They really haven't. They've played Liverpool, United, and West Brom away in their first 9 games...

What's that got to do with it though ?

Southampton are playing some good football and look a team to be reckoned with, the fact that their form is surprising doesn't come into whether they're actually good or not.

There's not a chance they'll say top four. United will get in the CL places - by Christmas if not sooner, IMO - and stay there; City are probably the best outfit in the PL on their day and will claim a 1st/RU berth; Chelsea will fight it out with City for the title and will reinforce in January upfront; Arsenal are in their best form for years (and they always snatched a CL spot even in years they weren't as good as they are now); Spurs will be there or thereabouts fighting it out for 5th/6th/7th spots with us and Liverpool.

IMO, this is as good as it gets for Liverpool. They'll lose crucial matches and start slipping down the league and their confidence will be shattered. Suarez and Sturridge wont always be this effective and are not in any case going to be enough to drag a pretty poor team outside Coutinho and Gerrard (who cant be expected to put a full top class season in now) into the top four.

They'll get taken apart by the better sides in the league, if they persist with their 3-5-2 formation.

They've had a real easy run of fixtures & now things start getting a bit tougher for them, with Xmas being a horror run of games.

Madrid will come in for Seweraz in Jan & they'll crumple like a cheap suit.

Suarez has a world cup qualifier on the Thursday (english time) before the derby. He better get picked. And then injured.

23.00 Wednesday night - so yeah, barring some sort of comfortable win in the first leg he is likely to play. If it goes to form we can hope Jordan give him a good kicking.

Lukaku saved our season, what the ****.

How can a player save a teams season after 3 games.

Also, there is luck and there is having a good keeper and I have to say if it wasn't for Mignoloet they would have got hammered in a couple of games.

No point letting it get to you mate. I'm more than happy for people to get carried away with them, the media to gush over Southampton (who've invested a lot in their team) and forget about us, as long as we keep picking up points and staying in contention. I like stealth Everton. It suits us better.
