They wont get top four. City, United, Chelsea, and Arsenal budget for this and they know how to get the job done over 38 games. Liverpool have been off that pace for a good while. When it gets tight the doubts will come in and they'll crumble.

The truth is..... Fergi never bettered Liverpool, and he hated it , Liverpool are the most successful club we have ever had in Britain, Liverpool dominated the English game and were a fantastic force in Europe, The big difference was that Liverpool won everything on their own merit, their titles were not bought, they played great football, had loyal players and great managers, Unfortunately Fergi came into the English game, realised he couldn't win anything through hard work and coaching so he adopted the cheque book philosophy, The pleasing result of all this, Fergi will go to his grave knowing he was never up there with the true greats of the game, they did it with style, skill, and without the obscene amounts of money fergi HAD to have to survive !!

i'm sorry, i think that is the most pathetic thing i have ever read about football, ever. So fergie overcame moneybags chelsea and city and yet it was all about the cheque book???? yes, he spent big money from time to timee, but who the **** is going to win a good league in this day and age without? Look at how united are atm and shows just how good he was, he won the title by 11 points with that average squad, one of his greatest achievements imo.

he's the greatest football manager that's ever lived, what does a man have to do to recieve recognition for being a "true great of the game" if alex ferguson didn't achieve it? that is awfully bitter.

haven't they got arsenal next? i think they may have fluked that fixture there, arsenal are due a bad result, it's what they do. however, if they play at their best, they have the capablity to absolutely maul liverpool
 
Have Liverpool not outspent united in the premer league era ? I'm sure I read they are the third biggest spenders behind Chelsea and city... Could be wrong.
 
Just speaking to my Liverpool supporting housemate and he laughed in my face as if I was an utter cretin when I suggested we've got as much chance as them of finishing top 4. Almost chinned the tit.

I just hope Arsenal play the second string for the Chelsea game midweek.
 
Suarez getting taken back into the fold after practically doing an Odemwingie in the summer.
