To be fair, I doubt the official Liverpool account would have cottoned on to the 'double meaning of the songs. They were probs just making a joke because they are quite cheesy songs.

Agree with that. just looked at the songs and the only one i knew was the monty python one. When the hell did the others become munich slurs?????!

I agree - I think the LFC response was just trite - the kind of thing one writes when you pretend the responder has nailed it - a sort of faux praise that he's right (when he obviously isn't).

Incidentally he could have chosen English Country Garden if he really wanted to nail the Munich reference. Sinatra's song has no real direct connection. The insult has come from the correspondent's choice of songs not so much the LFC response.

They've strengthened well, I'll give them that. Got rid of the joke deadwood and brought in quality. I reckon their 'transition' period is over- now they have to just play.
Gonna be a real fight to end above them this season but I rate we got it.
