Dont get me wrong I wish we had, but the first they only got 3 points because Stoke missed a peno. Sturridge has been a very good buy but Aspas looks gash, Gerrard is slowly declining and they have a lot of new faces to bed in.

we'll hit some good form, they'll hit some bad form, we'll get some good luck, theyll get some bad luck (ok so perhaps not that bit considering they've had huge slices of luck in all three games thus far), we'll stay fit, they'll get some injuries - anything could happen. No need to freak out about three games. Had Van Persie or Benteke finished like they normally do then they could quite easily be looking at three points from three games two of which have been at home. They've played ok (dominated by Villa 2nd half and Man U most of the game) taken some chances and got lucky at times. You can't play that way all season as we well know. They still have all the same problems as before that will stop them getting top 4, a lack of depth upfront, a lack of cover if any of their midfield gets injured, and a reliance on counterattacking hoof and run football that only works when you score first against teams that will have possession. They'll have just as much trouble breaking the WBA's of this world down as we did. The two squads for all their transfers have finshed neck and neck the past two seasons and I expect the same again unless Martinez is some sort of genius or fraud.
