what if he didn't want their support? he couldn't exactly say "stop supporting me, you'll make me look bad when i ditch you in a few months". i think it's more to do with him being ambitious rather than staying at a mid-table club. all this media witchhunt crap is just a sidescreen, does he genuinly feel he's been wrongly victimised?

...to be fair the owners have backed them with shed loads of money. Its down to the Manager who he buys and I reckon Brenda has already spent in excess of £60m, which when added to King Kenny is a lot of dosh. Keep up the good work Chaps in your aim to break into the top 6.
Despite what they say, the Suarez thing is clearly an indication of a player being bigger than the club. Would they have backed a lesser light the way they have backed him - no chance. All so amusing watching how they are all switching with the 'how dare he want to leave us' stance.
