ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

They can’t unravel fast enough. Can’t wait till they are struggling for champions league places again. They will suddenly lose there massive support. Massive reds go back to The I don’t care about footy lad people they was before Klopp gave them success. The match Sl**s all go away they are probably the most annoying. Also If arsenal are good again all the weird London reds like that chunks fella will all be jumping back to the gunners.
I can see the 'BUILT BY SHANKS, BROKE BY YANKS' banners getting dusted off soon.

They're just starting to bleat about no cash spent on midfielders. It wont be long until Boston PD are hearing about death threats to John Henry and family.

By the way, I know some are saying that they'll get a hard game against Newcastle (they possibly will), but dont rule out Bournemouth turning up and frustrating them either. They'll probably win, but they wont blow teams like this away anymore.

Mane was the beating heart of that team. We all knew it. The Kopites deep down knew it. That club decided to self harm when it didn't cough up the wages to extend his stay.

Hope you’re right, Dave. I was thinking the same when I saw they had Bournemouth next. Let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cherries walk away with a point.

They don’t want to admit that they’ve only really got themselves to blame for that one. They worshipped Salah like some sort of deity there. Murals all over the City, chants every game, the face of all their advertising campaigns, 400k a week? No problem Mo. He could choose to play where he wanted.

Then there was Mane, shoved across the front three when it suited them, liked by the fans but never adored, club wouldn’t even consider his wage requests, even though he was there before Salah was and won the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers over him. In the big games and finals he often turned up as well when Salah didn’t.

He knew full well that if there was a season when they won the CL and one of them might get the ballon dor it would never be him at Liverpool. Not because he wasn’t good enough, but because the club and their fans had made it clear that the pecking order is Salah Van Dijk Allison and then maybe Mane, he’d even been moved to accommodate Dias by the end. There’s no logical reason why they’d worship a showpony centreback over him, or why they over worship Salah when Mane is just as consistent but that’s what they did.

He knows full well that if Bayern win the CL and he’s hitting 20 a season he’s one of the favourites for the ballon Dor, that was never the case at Liverpool. He was right to get out of there.

What is their club motto again, I forget sometimes, I have a vague belief it is something like:

'You'll Never walk alone, except in circumstances when you don't play well for a couple of games, then you are all alone and I will not back you at all and call you all the names under the sun because I am an entitled man child'
You forgot

‘An I’ll send you death threats’

I rememeber an African journalist getting the usual death threats on social media in the early part of the summer when Mane was leaving who suggested that the Klub didn't value sub-Saharan Africans and that there was a hint of colonialism about the way LFC had gone about dealing with Mane.

Whatever the merits of that argument they defo didn't value him in the way they should have.

Q
Milner absolutely humiliated Van Dijk.

"You just listen!!"

There's no coming back from that.
