Straight off the bat last night on MOTM: Steptoe's daughter - "Andy Robinson's words after the Scotland game underline the level of grief this team are labouring under".

When is someone going to have a word about this lot trailing a dead former team mate's memory to explain away something as meaningless as a football team on the slide?

They are 'kin ghouls.

Poor fella will never rest in peace with these ghouls, they are abhorrent.

The wins earlier in the season were for Diogo and his family, now it’s the griefs fault that they are getting battered every game?! Make your minds up ffs.

I never knew until I checked earlier, 36 teams with the top 8 automatically qualifying for last 16. The 16 teams finishing between 9th and 24th have two-leg games, the 8 winners going through to the last 16.

Early days and the RS are sitting in 9th but it’s a little condensed and they’re only 3 points from dropping out of top 24. I’d expect them to at least make the play-offs but they could have a fight on their hands if this form continues.

Bookies aren’t taking any chances, they’re still a best price 11-1 to lift the trophy.

Not sure I could actively wish relegation on someone after the misery we’ve had in recent seasons, even that lot

I wouldn’t shed any tears for them, but I don’t think I’d actively root for it either

Relegation battles are hell and have genuinely taken something out of me that I don’t think I’ve ever really got back

After all Everton fans have been through over the last 20 years and the rubbish we have put up with off that shower if there’s one team and set off supporters I’d actively wish relegation on its them!

The most “entitled” set of hangers on in the country couldn’t cope with what we have had to put up with and I for one would “actively root for it”!

They are a performative fanbase who feel the need to perform for the general public about grief and death.

That's just the truth of the matter. It's a huge part of their identity.

Me - I dont think football is a fitting stage for grief. It denigrates all meaning of grief and death when the commercialism and tack of top flight football come into contact with it. That's something Liverpool supporters continually dont get and it's why they'll continue to be repulsive to other football fans not just Evertonians.

The only time that lot have not wanted to talk openly about death and grief is over Heysel. That's something they CAN internalise and forget about.


...by the way, that reminds me: where IS that promised new Heysel memorial they said they'd get round to unveiling "later on in the summer (of 2025)"?

She’s one of a few who have the RAWK ear piece in every time they’re on air just parroting whatever the propaganda line of the day is.

The first few months of last season are looking like a fluke for Slot now.

The record of work for this calendar year is looking poor and the more it has gone on the worst it has got.
