ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I usually find your nonsense whimsical, Dave, but that idiotic bile needs knocking on the head. The attempted slaughter of innocent civilians en masse is big news, irrespective of which, if any footy team is involved.

Eh?

He is a spanner and Liverpool do get coverage of incidents like this in much more depth.

People trying to take some moral high ground where there's none to be had.

I have no issues with the sentence of 21 1/2 years especially given the amount of victims involved however a part of me can’t help but feel angry at the fact that my friend got killed by a drunk driver was who 3 times over the limit and was on ketamine, had no driving licence, no car insurance, had previous convictions for drink driving and speeding and the judge called it the worst case of dangerous driving that he had ever seen and that person only got 9 years in jail. In my opinion he should have got a much harsher sentence.
This is the sort of thing I can’t get my head around.
The sentencing is all over the place.
Used to work with the two fellas killed in this incident (by the 17 yr old son of two busys) and he didn’t get any bird.

Not getting involved in this clearly manufactured faux outrage mate.
We know you have a history of being a contrarian, but have you read the witness statements? I truly hope that you never have to suffer such a life changing experience as that Dave. Please stop playing these perverse games you play. It surely can’t be good for you and it’s certainly not good for anyone else that appreciates and enjoys reading and posting on this forum.

Sorry to hear that, mate. Must have been horrific, and defo feels like a lenient sentence.

As you say, sheer number of victims must have swayed the sentencing in this case.
It’s also about the intention to cause harm.
If you’re drunk and on drugs, you’re being highly irresponsible, but you're not necessarily doing deliberate harm.

What makes you think I was referring to the witnesses?

I think I made my feelings clear about the man who did that to them by calling him a scumbag and spanner.

The reaction I pointed out was the media's to anything Liverpool FC based. Clear as the nose on your face I did that...unless you actively were looking for something else.

As said: 'faux outrage'.

I haven't even read the details of the case because its about that lot, but has it been established he was on drugs?
Nope, the case is not about that lot.
But the fact you think it is a story about Liverpool football club indicates how your obsession with them has reached slightly worrying levels.
Doesn't happen with any other club than Liverpool. Guaranteed.
I hate that football club as much as anyone, but if you can't separate the football club from a psycho running over 130 innocent men, women and children then you really gotta take a breath and reset mate.

sentence is harsh,he killed nobody, had he been pi$$ed and killed a child whilst driving he wouldn't have got that long, by law.
