Trent (I'm gonna keep calling him that know) seems to have done everything with a bit of class regarding his move too, no going to the papers or podcasts, quietly gone about his business, still playing decently. Model professional and treated like arse by the supporters.
 
Understand they're not happy he's leaving, but that's booing was quite disturbing to watch, I'm glad a lot of people in the press have criticised them over it.

Wonder if Slot knew this would happen?

Fair play to FSG, they have genuinely hidden their original "make fans customers" moto into the cult like "this means more imagine being us" mindset.

Wouldn't be surprised if it puts a lot of players off joining them now, Haaland for example had a set release clause at dortmund and they respect that and bid him farewell with grace.

Won everything for them and they're trying to set the tone they're special and he shouldn't want to try something new.

There's a huge difference between Gordon and TAA. Gordon was largely crap at Everton, other than his goal against United he didn't contribute much. Also he made out he was a boyhood blue, then left and said he was always a massive RS. TAA like him or not has given years of service to RS, scored quite a few goals and is simply moving to a bigger club. Gordon gets abuse because he downed tools in build up to him leaving, he gave away goal against Wolves in his last game for Everton. I wouldn't boo Stones or Richarlison because they left to improve their careers. Gordon is a little rat who played, when he felt like it and insulted fans. I think it was Man City game in 2022 at GP where he was gonna walk off pitch without clapping fans after game and Jon Joe Kenny had to drag him to bother to clap fans. Only reason why Gerrard stayed is because RS threatened his family.

Unlike Gordon who still seems to snipe at our club and big up Liverpool who threw him on the scrapheap. But enough of that we got good money for a young player who was not interested in playing for us. In fact he dodged training as well. Will never forget the pure lust in his face as he was readying himself to take that pen against us, thank you Jordan Pickford. 💙

Winning the PL isn't enough, so they've got to create drama and chaos elsewhere to get their fix 🤷‍♂️.
 
If it was an English lad leaving any other club to play for Madrid the media would be all over it saying how he had to pursue his dream etc. and how fans shouldn’t hold him back. As it’s Liverpool though, their paymasters, and establishment club, they’re falling over themselves to spin a story that Liverpool fans are right to abuse this lad for wanting to play for a bigger better team.
