ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Carlos and Cafu were up down and whipping crosses in , they didn't show playmaker skills in half spaces the TAA and Cancelo, both of there starting positions are inside left and right, Cafu, Maldini and Carlos never came inside dictating play like a CM like TAA and Cancelo.

Hakemi, James, Robertson are classic up and down FBs a threat in final third, they don't have the play making ability of TAA and Cancelo.

I don't know any FB besides them who play that way in the game right now, both can hit 60 yard passes on a six pence switching play with ease, comfortable being in the centre of the park while also doing the work of a classic FB.

No surprise a new definition of the FB role is because of the 2 best managers in the game who have made a FB on their team the vocal point of playmaking in their teams.
FFS go and get a brass and get smashed just do anything other than being a 1st class bellend on your rivals forum.

It's now beyond a joke and I cannot for the life of me understand why other managers haven't said something. How can a team play that many games, with a smaller squad, than the great teams in the past and still win every week. Barcelona rested their whole team before the semi final a few years ago, the RS don't rest any players against Newcastle come back and win 4-0. Barca never raised any issues over it, add to the fact having numerous players with Ashtma should damage their players fitness even more. Football is a joke nowadays.
But the German guy at MU did question it. Said fitness and recovery needs looking into.
I don't think the media really picked that up on that.

Not sure what Ballack's point is. It's delusional to say that Van Dijk is anything other than a world class defender. You could just as well say the aforementioned attackers are lucky they got to face spitty, rather than Van Dijk.

He’s got a point though. The best strikers in Europe are both mid 30s and playing for Madrid and Bayern. In the PL there’s Kane and a 37 year old Ronaldo and not much else.

It’s a poor era for strikers at the moment, very different to the mid 2000s when there was Henry Shearer Rooney Drogba Ronaldo Tevez etc. I mean even Everton had Yakubu, he’d be walking into a lot of PL sides today with ease.

Liverpool give up too many opportunities that aren’t finished by the opposition and still rely far too much on their goalkeeper. Van Dijk is often caught out of position when teams do score against them and more often than not is halfway up the pitch or out wide screaming at his centreback partner.

He’s a good player who is quick and physical and is good on the ball but I wouldn’t have him anywhere near the likes of Maldini Nesta Ramos Ferdinand Chiellini Bonucci Puyol etc. like nowhere near them. Jaap Staam was a better defender than him in my book.

None of the above however have a media following like Van Dijk does where several paid idiots will call him the best CB in the world or of all time after any game he plays. He’s not even the best CB in the league right now, I’m not convinced he’s even the best CB at Liverpool.

He’s the only werrrrllllddd class defender who just happens to be asthmatic, sorry not the only one - konate and matip can’t get up a flight of stairs without salbutamol and oxygen either, mad eh?
