I mean, he's always been a decent player, but a bit of a crock. World Class though? I'm not convinced.Serious post, and only slightly anti Liverpool biased here but when exactly has Thiago ever been considered some Goliath of the midfield with next to no betters in world football? I know my football, not as much as some on here granted but I can’t remember a point where anybody considered him world class or anything more than a good midfielder in a good team who is a bit of a crock.
I think the British media overhyping any foreign signing going to a big club has made Liverpool and probably Chelsea too look like absolute mugs here.
Jesus, I wouldn't want your job. The body cam would be my undoing. No, I’m a line manager in a shop.
Need to wear one now due to the abuse you get over asking people to keep to the covid rules.
But that conversation is not for this thread.
Let’s stick to enjoying watching them lot implode.
To be fair, I don't know much about him as a player, but it would be interesting to know whether he'd have been a target if they didn't have their injuries.I see that Kabak was given a 5.17 rating on whoscored.com . World class him. A great way to spend 2 million for 15 games and 30m in the summer. Bring back Williams!

Exactly this: I am still convinced that the VAR officiating in 18/19 season came from the PL / SKY. It was just so utterly blatant as you say, in favour of them and against City. I think the previous season spooked them badly when we won 14 games on the bounce to pip them to the title when virtually every match was scheduled in Liverpools favour. It was decided that, that could not and would not happen again. They needed a lead than was insourmountable by Christmas and they got it. The decisions were really just so blatant in their favour week in and week out.People forget the travesty of 17/18 and 18/19 though. When City were having legitimate goals chalked off left right and centre and Liverpool had the offside rule abandoned for them. Salah taking moving free kicks against Fulham, all the diving not once being checked. They lapped all of that up pre VAR, then they get VAR working in their favour last season giving them the calls they wanted but mysteriously going missing when Van Dijk lunged into DCL from behind when clean through on goal. Now they’re moaning because it’s started to give correct calls and not all of them are going in their favour. They’ve always benefitted from a massive points surplus each season through lenient refereeing ‘difficult to give a pen or red card at Anfield or Old Trafford’ etc. Whereas the teams around them barely get the same number of penalties in a season that Liverpool get in a month.
It wreaks of the January window desperation like we did with Tosun, Walcott et al. with FSG only reluctantly releasing the money due to the growing pressure. You can only hope not.
