Serious post, and only slightly anti Liverpool biased here but when exactly has Thiago ever been considered some Goliath of the midfield with next to no betters in world football? I know my football, not as much as some on here granted but I can’t remember a point where anybody considered him world class or anything more than a good midfielder in a good team who is a bit of a crock.

I think the British media overhyping any foreign signing going to a big club has made Liverpool and probably Chelsea too look like absolute mugs here.

It’s all about being the better team for a portion of the game. Liverpool were apparently also the better team against City in the period before they conceded 4. That matters.
