They didnt get bailed out by the Ref today, they got bailed out by Gross fouling Salah in the box.

It wasn’t even Stonewall. Minor contact exaggerated by a huge dive but there’s no way the ref will ever not give it.

Even if it was or wasn't they still get given them every single time. Other clubs are denied stonewallers constantly.

They didnt get bailed out by the Ref today, they got bailed out by Gross fouling Salah in the box.

They did get bailed out by the numerous decisions given in their favour though.

1 on 1 with the keeper in the first half, pulled back for a debatable offside they showed us once.

Murray in behind the defence in the 2nd half...yep, another debatable offside given & we’ll just have the 1 quick look.

Knockheart brings the ball down on the chest and in on goal, we’ll call that handball.

How about VVD elbow in the penalty box on injury time...the one they never thought fit to show us again.

That’s not to mention every debatable 50/50, corner, thrown in and tackle going in there favour.

That’s as bias a referee as I’ve seen that today and that takes some doing.

If we were told in years to come he was refereeing under instructions to keep Liverpool at the stop and ensure we get a title race instead of what City did last year, no one would be surprised.

For all those that thought Liverpool wrong to lose against Wolves, the league title really does look doable

Just as avoiding the Europa Cup nightmare by seeing off Napoli 1-0 and coming second in their group avoided fixture problems later, having the FA cup next after that defeat to City fell just right for them, I'm pretty sure going out will prove hugely beneficial to their run in too.

City will be in everything and playing twice, and even possibly three times a week in one week in late season, as EUFA won't allow rearranged league fixtures, including at least one for the league cup final and possibly two more for the FA Cup later rounds, to be played in ANY week which is reserved for the Champions league, including weeks you're not playing.

Liverpool meanwhile will have a whole week to prepare for virtually every game and a relatively comfortable run in.

That's besides games in hand never being equal to points in the bag because of points pressure and fixture congestion.

Is the correct answer.

I knew when City won against them that it was probably just going to draw this out unbearably.

The problem though is City not Liverpool. They are not 100% focussed on this title race since Liverpool made it a race. They'll slip up again for sure and Liverpool want it more than they do.

When they beat Liverpool I felt that the joy from City's players was to simply say "there, we played you twice, took 4 points and should have taken all 6 points and we're the better team and you know it". Just a point being made.

That would never be given against them. Vvd could of shot someone in the area and they still wouldn't give it.

Tbh I wouldn't mind as much if they owned the fact they dive, cheat and are getting the rub of the green but they act like every decision is the right call.
